Okay so this is my first journal entry of the year and I know everyone has been dying for me to post it... ya right. My life as a teacher is now officially over... yesterday was my last day of work (I move next friday) and it was the hardest thing I ever had to do. I taught elementary art to inner city children and they were crying. I've been there for a year and a half. One kid wouldn't let go of me and he was screaming that he didn't want me to go... I was a mess. I love those kids so much but moving to columbus is best for me... there's nothing for me as an artist in dayton and that's the only reason I was able to leave yesterday. Oh ya and b/c my boyfriend is leaving and I love him sooooo much I miss my kids already... you know I had over 400 and every single one has a special place in my heart... see I'm getting a little misty now just thinking of them and the little hugs I got everyday. I need to change the subject now...

Last subject... I move next friday as I already said and I still have no job 6 days and counting I know that I'll work anywhere I can to pay bills but I really need something. I have a lead at a preschool and I have an interview for a nanny position but I really am pretty scared. I have sent out over 100 resumes and had 20 interviews and no job I hate being told I am not qualified to work in a preschool when I have a degree in education... you don't even need a degree to teach in a preschool, but they say it's because I have no experience with that age group... HOW THE FUCK DO YOU GET EXPERIENCE IF NO ONE WILL GIVE YOU A JOB
okay I'm done... I love you all who read this ranting mess
oh ya...I love my cats too they are sooooo cute (so are my dogs )

edited to say... I got a job teaching preschool to low income families... i can still make a difference
