Jesus, I've been busy lately....anyway. It's storming outside, so I can actually update on what the hell's been going on.

So, the FAA guy with the zero precent pass rate and proud of it? He doesn't have anything to be proud of anymore. I flew better than I had before in my entire life, and I could tell he was looking for shit to bust me on. I even got in an arguement with air traffic control during the exam, but I was right. Even proved it to him when we got back on the ground. As he was typing up my certificate, he looked like I'd shot his dog and then kicked him in the balls. The guy didn't even have a headset for the airplane, just ear plugs. I honestly think he's never even gotten in the plane for an exam before! He also screwed up typing out my certificate about three times, so I doubt if he's done that either. The staff at my flight school were so sure he was gonna bust me that they already had the airplane scheduled for me the next day for a re-test. When I flew back and told them I passed, I think everyone was in shock for a good couple of hours.

Bottom line, screw the Ft Worth flight standards office, I'm a flight instructor now! So, who wants to learn how to fly?

After passing that checkride, I promptly went out and got smashed. I'd never been to this place in Arlington called Humperdink's, but they've got good food and good beer, so that worked for me. Got smashed again the next day at the house, and then went to Six Flags the next day. Celebration is now over, so back to work.

I should technically have another addition to that certificate by now, but the thunderstorms here cancelled my multi-engine instructor exam. Once done with that, I can train people in planes with more than one engine.
