For the record, in case anyone was wondering, lesson plans SUCK. I'm working on my flight instructor stuff right now, and about 80% of it is writing out lesson plans to make teaching people how to fly easier. But, DAMN is there a lot of stuff. Took me two hours to write ONE lesson plan on how three instrument systems work. I could stand in front of a dry erase board and teach that shit in like 10 minutes assuming I had someone with an IQ greater than a chimp trying to learn. Ah, well. In about two weeks or so, I should be going to the FAA for the checkride on that. It's the hardest one (airline pilot checkrides are actually EASIER from what I've heard), and the horror stories I've heard have it lasting anywhere from 6-8 hours.

It's raining, which sucks. But since I'm staying in and writing the whole time, it's not really affecting my mood. Bonus.

Taking one of the Cessna 172s next weekend and flying with a friend of mine from Arlington to Memphis for the weekend. They're having air races in Tunica, MS, which should be wicked cool. Think NASCAR in three demensions, except instead of stock cars, old World War II fighters like P-51s racing each other. No doubt it'll be loud as fuck, too.
