Two lessons in strong winds today. Nothing like flying an airplane at about 2,500 feet, slowing it down and STOPPING in mid-air. I ALMOST got it to fly backwards. I've only managed to do that once in a heavy wind in Florida. Landing was.....interesting. Due to the strong headwind, it took about 2-3 minutes just to get from 1,000 feet to the runway. Good news is, it looks like I'll be ready for my checkride with the FAA on Wednesday for my commercial single engine rating. Anyone wants any more explanation on the technical crap above, let me know. I think I can break it down a little bit. 
RUMOR MILL: Talked to my friend that I used to fly with in Orlando today, and there's a SLIGHT chance I might be packing up and moving back there. He's right at the same level as I am, and he's been offered a job flying charters in Orlando. They might be looking for one more, and if they the pay is right and I get the offer, I'm packing up and moving back to Orlando.
