To follow up on my last blog...

Life is so strange sometimes. I wish I had a better way of putting the pieces together.

It says something about the love in her family that they used a picture from her last photoset.

It's hard to explain life--or death--sometimes. I was and still am shocked at how prophetic her last journal was.
tangledupinblue:
i thought it might help.

it's all could think of.

be well.

Elsie, or Lianne, passed away today. To type this sentence feels so surreal. I am still having a difficult time registering this information. She goes to my college. We had a class together. We have been "Internet friends" for some time, and two weeks ago, I went to her apartment, met her dogs, and took her on a ride to Stroud's Run to shoot...

On September 13th, 2008, my family's beloved kitty, Sebastian, also known as Sabbie, suddenly passed away. My family was shocked. I was shocked. We grieve together, though we are miles apart. My parents bear the pain of coming home from work every day with no Sabbie. In a few short months when the holidays are near, I too will bear that pain upon returning home....

thanks erica. my ex-boyfriend dealt with awful migraines, so I know how awful it can be. We all have shitty things to go through--and yeah, I usually don't make it a priority or anything to let people know about my fibro. I'm usually also pretty good at ignoring the pain so I'm not a total bitch to everyone around me, hah. Some days though I just completely break down.
alissa:
I was at the hospital when she passed away. its aweful...
She will be missed so much!

I finally won the monthly themed contest for the Photography Group.

See that group image? Yeah, I took it. biggrin

In other news, I started a little project... here.

I have more to say, but I'll save it for later.

Now it's later.

This is ripped from my Myspace blog:

- My birthday was extremely pleasant. And, for the record (though this should...

Today is my 21st birthday.

It's also my four-year anniversary at SuicideGirls.

(Yes, I joined the site illegally. But that's another matter completely.)

Wow.

Time is a miraculous thing.

In other news, I have beautiful friends. Today, I am very very grateful for all the love I feel.

I remember that girl from four years ago, different but no less remarkably interesting.

Apparently, I am pictured in the latest issue of Rolling Stone magazine. What's funny is that I am watching Kanye West, and, it's like, six in the morning. If you haven't already heard the controversy surrounding his performance at Bonnaroo, I suggest you do your research.

Long live Bonnaroo, my temporary yellow hair and matching yellow sun smock, and Carrie's three-hour-long romance, now forever immortalized...

According to Alice Cooper, school's out for the summer. Growing up, my dad used to blast that song for me and Shan on every last day of school.

The last days of my sophomore year were a chaotic blur. Joel visited my last weekend in Athens, and it was a fun-filled and long-awaited reunion. I ran into the street and gave him such a loving,...

Music festival is definitely the way to end the year - it must have just been such a liberating feeling to go on a road trip that you planned and you ran. I was far too exhausted post exams to even think about doing anything but moving out and driving back home.

Now you've got the summer, work and some much needed time off. Enjoy it, make the most of it. Junior year of college is usually difficult but I dont know if that's the case for you. I'm heading into the hardest 2 semesters of my life starting in September - and then after those I've got another 2 semesters worth of classwork to go.

This entry looks like it took at least an hour and a half to write, not including the photo uploads.
cassiel:
yr writing is always amazing. i miss yr presence here.

Dismiss the endless frustration.

The ground covered is vast. And although I feel like I begin each little update of my life in the same fashion, it goes without saying that I've neglected journaling, in all forms, for far too long. Damn it, I'm supposed...

you've been really busy to say the least.

i had a pharmacy practice management course last semester which was a total waste of everyone's time and is just so stupid that i dont want to talk about it.

and grilled cheese is amazing too. i forgot how good it was until i ordered it at a diner a few months back.

knowing how to use a film camera really is pretty neat stuff - film itself really is slowly becoming a lost art and it's really something to know how everything used to be done before the days of digital.
crushjunkie:
I'm jealous that you are going to more music festivals this summer, but I wish you a great time! I was not particularly impressed with this year's Coachella line-up, and my friend who I went with last year (then he left after the first day), my only option for a companion, is still anti-social and hates music. Go him. So, I'm staying put.

If remote, computer-based hugs counted (sending you one now), you'd be set. smile

I don't understand why happy things end. I was happy. I was happy despite all surfaces. Despite all pettiness. Despite secrets. And it ended. And there is so much to say, but it's really not worth explaining to strangers or even non-strangers. An audience of pity is not what I need. Friends are few and far between but sometimes they show up when everyone has...

So McCain got New Hampshire. I am not pleased. He appears to be one sly mother fucker. Sure he's "sweet." Sure he's old. Sure he smiles a lot and has a soft, soothing voice. Sure he goes on MTV and tries to be Cool McCoolers. Sure he says he's a moderate. Behind closed doors he votes straight ticket republican and kisses Dubya's ass with fruit...

I think all the candidates suck but I'm voting for Clinton just because I think she has the best chance of winning out of all the anti-war candidates.

I had a minor in Sociology. It's interesting stuff.
crushjunkie:
Beautiful photographs! I will have to check out your flickr site soon.

Kings of Leon - saw them at Coachella last summer, kind of cool, bought their album, wasn't that impressed.

I'm not sure if you've heard of Immaculate Machine, but I would recommend taking a listen to their covers. I think they might suit your refined taste in music.
