So far my new year has not entailed much. I got my ACT scores back. I got a 26. I suppose that's pretty good for a first time. I sucked on the math bit, however. But I got a 31 on the English part which is fucking kickass. My friend Sara got a 32. All of my friends and I are in shock. Tegan is baking her a cake. I want a fucking cake. I'd also like about a 29 or a 30 on my fucking ACT. Oh well. I have several more times to take it. I'm not going to complain about my 26. Many of people I know would kill to have a score like that. I suppose I will always expect too much of myself.
Trying to explain the three branches of government to a nine-year old is the most hellacious activity you could possibly take part in. I dare you to prove me wrong.
It was unseasonably warm in my sector of Ohio for about a week and now we're suppose to get freezing rain and snow overnight. I don't like strange weather fluctuations like that. I like consistency. Besides, I was excited at the prospect of wearing lighter, more fashionable jackets to school. Alas, no more.
Console me, dear. Sit beside me and sadly nod your head. Understand, or atleast try, and pretend that you'd rather not be somewhere else. I want the tenderness and the affection and the secure warmth of a pool of wine and a bottle of sleep with no adverse effects and no dramatic scenes. Dance with me, dear. Glide me across the floor in a smooth and seamless motion. Embrace me, or atleast try, and pretend that I can return the favor. I want the sexyness and the wit and the striking character of a sharp dress and a silky blade with no bloody showers and no haunting rumors. Unwind this fucking sopping head of mine and lay it out to dry in the blazing sun, and forget, please just forget... Take back the desperate messages and the cries for help and remember that I'm sorry. Remember that one moment, not long ago, I didn't have to write things like this and you didn't have to read them.

Why haven't I commented in this journal? I guess I haven't in a few, I've been lame with keeping up with people lately. I apologize for that and you can feel free to chastise me appropriately for it.
I think I got pretty much the same score when I took the ACT, I got either a 31 or a 31 in one section, and like a 25 in another or overall? I so don't remember these things, and like I said it ultimately meant nothing.
I love Elliot Smith.
It's been in the high 70s here all week and will continue to be so, it's 79 right now. It's a bit silly that my AC is on in January and if I go out I'm gonna sweat. Oh well.
Did you use your America: The Book as a guide for your government lesson?
I've still got the comments in my head that you will star in for my real journal update, so stay tuned
