I guess I don't stay away for very long. But it's usually because my life is a constant need to take photographs of every bleedin' thing/event I find the slightest bit amusing. And so I have pictures. And you must suffer through them if you want to make me happy, which I'm sure is your number one goal in life.

First of all, I found the following comical. Sara and Seth make an odd couple. They constantly disagree and argue about petty, small, insignificant things. Sara is constantly telling Seth his ideas are stupid and ridiculous, and Seth is submissive and never sticks up for himself. He is an eccentric free thinker, and Sara is a logical, practical, grounded young woman. But as you can see, they bond during Algebra 2 when Seth requests that Sara brush his shiny chestnut brown locks.

My grandma took my sister and I Christmas shopping Saturday. We went to Barnes and Noble and I was keen enough to remember Jon Stewart's latest release, which just so happens to be on the Best Seller's list. I spotted several books I wanted to purchase, but since I had limited funds and this book was $24, I decided to just get it and be satisfied. My happiness is slightly muted in the following photograph due to my inability to duplicate excitement.

I woke up yesterday and WHAT?! SNOW! I was delighted. So I decided to take this picture while my yard and its surroundings remained untouched my shovels, feet, cars, and random animals. Actually, this is a picture of my neighbor's house. I was peeking out my back door because I was still in my pajamas and there was no way in hell I was going outside just to get a photograph of my house. Snow is nice. You can see snow in the picture. That's basically all.

I was getting ready to head to my my mom's parents for a little holiday get together, and I decided to get the camera back out and take a nice picture of myself enjoying the snow. I tried to smile and look all excited-like, but the sun was so bright that I ended up looking like this. And it's quite possibly the most unattractive picture of me you'll ever see, so soak it up while you can.

While at my mom's parents (notice how I refrain from calling them my grandparents) I decided to take more family fun pictures. The only decent picture is this one of my sister and me. As always, Shannon looks suprised and goofy, and I look weird when I smile. As you can see, the gap thing kind of runs in the family. Also, the dorkiness.

Today I went to a nursing home with some friends and passed out candy canes and Merry Christmas wishes. I felt like such a great person afterwards. I also felt very, very sad. I think that death truly occurs when someone feels they've lost their independence. When you have to start relying on others to feed you, dress you, bathe you, and look after you, you no longer feel like a person. You become a pet. An obligation. A chore. And you slowly die off. I talked to people today that probably haven't talked to anyone in months. It just made me realize that youth, even with all its handicaps and misfortunes, is something to be treasured.

This, again, was a shit piece of journal. But that's what happens sometimes.

EDITED TO SAY: Now I have yet another delicious reading item. Don't hate them because they're beautiful. ALSO! Napoleon Dynamite comes out today, so get your asses out there and buy it! I know I am!

well thank you!! you're the first person who's given me a compliment about my teeth, I've always been kind of self-concious about them.

also, how old are you?? if you still have pictures from Algebra 2 class, wouldn't that mean you're in high school??
eeek

I'm not sketched out, just wondering is all.
