SCIENCE
There is no God
And what is this?
This masterful piece of art
From which I cannot contrive,
Cannot begin to dissect
Smash my skull in with a hammer
Because it tends to wonder and wilt.
There is no politic
Who the fuck are you?
I hunger for the mainstream
So tear down those banners,
Which hang limply from your throne
And paste your cautionary label on your words
Because I reach up and touch you but you grimace.
There is no noise
Where were you yesterday?
I turned the volume down
My ears bleed when your foot hits the floor,
And my eyes implode at the sound of your voice
The ice melts on the kitchen table
When I slip in your shadow and call out your name.
There is no science
Can you compensate your time?
The time ticks and the needle skips
And we are passing each other,
Once again without words of justice or reason
We dissolve in each other's tangled limbs
But when I stare in your mirror there is nothing and no one.
