Warped Tour was great!
Except now I have a sunburn on my face and neck and I don't have any money. But I got to be in the front row to see my Coheed boys, plus I got an autograph from the lead singer of Brazil... he is amazingly gorgeous and so sweet! I loved all the free stickers and pins and such everyone kept handing out. I have a ton of souveniors. Plus I bought myself a new Coheed shirt, the comic book that Claudio wrote, a Brazil CD (that the singer autographed), and two other CDs by Staring Back and Facing New York -- two emerging bands. Members of these bands came up to me and my amigos while we were waiting to get into the ampitheatre and asked if we wanted to listen to their material. And so we did. And we briefly chatted. And they too were very friendly (and attractive) and since I am such a pushover, I bought their albums. Besides Coheed and Brazil, I saw sets by The Kinison, The Casualties (from far away), Flogging Molly, Anti-Flag, Yellowcard, and New Found Flory
whom I don't like, but went to see because Charlotte (aka Sara) wanted to see them. The one cool thing about their set was that a member of Reggie and the Full Effect played keyboard on their last song.
Food and water there were SO expensive. $3.50 for a bottle of water, and $5 for a bratwurst sandwich (which was the only thing I ate while warping). The weather was also mighty warm, and the sun was pretty unfriendly to Charlotte who decided to sport a strappy tanktop. We left there around nine... right after we watched Yellowcard. On the way home, we stopped at an Arby's to rehydrate and eat a little something. Shannon and I went straight to bed when we got home because we were both very exhausted.
I had to get up early this morning to go to yet another Girls' Booster's meeting, only this time it was held in the high school. Walking in that building was an unfriendly reminder that school starts for me in a week. Ick.
To see the pictures from Warped, go here. OK, I'm out.
