I am a happy young woman. For once, I exceeded my expectations of myself.
I got a fucking 29 on the December ACT. My subscores:
English: 34
Mathematics: 24
Reading: 33
Science: 26

For those who don't know, the ACT is a test that colleges use to evaulate your "academic standing," so to speak. High scores get you into colleges faster with a better chance for scholarships and aid. It's a lot like the SAT, except that it includes a science section, and the questions are formatted differently. A perfect score on the ACT is a 36. Your subscores from each test also scale 1-36, and the subscores are averaged to determine a composite, in this case, 29.
A 30 would get me a full ride to OU, but, sigh, this was my last time taking the test. Oh well. I came really damn close. I didn't prepare. I didn't really try my hardest. I just went in to the test with a clear and level head, and it actually got me somewhere. I am so proud of myself. I feel very content with my academic performance. Test-taking-chapter of Kellands life ends on a positive note.
I am very tired right now. Very, very exhausted and drained.
In other, less happy news, my kitty Meeko is sick.
He has fluid surrounding his heart. Please keep him in your thoughts as he is the best kitty in the whole wide world and I don't want to see anything bad happen to him.
I took new pictures for the new year and my new hair.
I don't really have anything to say.
I worked tonight, and it was enjoyable because Jeremiah wasn't there. That is a terrible thing to write, and even more terrible to actually admit. But it's true. I can't believe how true it is sometimes. I can't believe how cruel I am sometimes. I work for the rest of the week but on Saturday I get to hang out with my best bud Damein and my sister whilst watching some rockin' local music. Next month I really want to see Black Rebel Motorcycle Club again as they're making their rounds back to Columbus.
So this is the new year. And I don't feel any different.

Fingers crossed for your kitty, and that he doesn't get involved in any fights like the ones that are happening round my flat.
