I'm a Smithsy mood this morning. The sun is shining. The air is brisk. I am drinking Mystic Chai Spiced Tea. Mmm... mystic.
A few weekends ago, when I was in Bluffton with Shannon and Jessica, I saw a bumper sticker on a car in the college parking lot that read: "On Judgement Day, you'll wish your car had Jesus stickers." It made me laugh.
In a little while, I will be out and about recording footage for the music video Jessica and I are doing for our Media Communications class. We are doing the song "Pretty Girls Make Graves" by The Smiths (duh). The main synopsis is that Jessica is the "Grave Maker," and my friend Kati and I are the "Pretty Girls." Jessica is going to befriend us. Take us out on dates. Stroll with us in the park and we'll skip by the fountain and hold hands. But then she'll devise ways to knock us off. Then she will bury us in the cemetery. So there you go. I am excited.
I got paid yesterday, but $200 of my money is going towards paying for class fees and car repairs and college applications. That makes me sad. At least I got a raise, though. It's a minimum wage job, but now I'm making $5.65 an hour. I'm also happy because Miah and I are suppose to "hang out" tomorrow. That also scares me, however. I am nervous just thinking about it. I wonder what "hanging out" will entail. The coffee house isn't open on Sundays and that's my hanging out failsafe. Wish me luck, kiddos.
Next weekend I have to take the ACT again. No no no no no.
Did anyone see the U2 extravaganza on Conan O'Brien last Thursday? I know Cassiel probably did. It was positively awesome. Here's a quote from Bono during the "Celebrity Secrets" bit that was aired last night: "We didn't get into U2 for the money. We got into U2 for the things you can buy with money." That too made me laugh.

I have to give a speech in a few weeks. The speech will be in front of an audience of old people. The speech will be about vegetarianism. The speech must be completely memorized, no note cards allowed. The speech must be no shorter than five minutes. Kelland is very scared for this speech. If Kelland wins the contest, she gets $300 for this speech. Pray for Kelland.
I've decided that Richey Edwards, lost-and-never-found member of Manic Street Preachers, is going to be added to my list of extremely gorgeous people, dead and alive, that I would sleep with, given the opportunity. You need to see a picture of this man. I wonder what really happened to him... I want to be the person that discovers him eating a grilled cheese sandwich in a cafe somewhere at sometime.
On Monday, my quiz team members and I won our first match! And I played! And I buzzed in and got our team 40 points! And the questions were about glucose and flag day! I was very excited.
