I'm fed up.
It's the end of the weekend. Another working week starts in a few hours. And I was in work today anyway doing overtime to get an important project finished for the mornings deadline.
But I'm more fed up because I've had a great weekend. So great that I'm sad that its now at an end.
Although its been a bit of a funny one.
Was getting stressed on Friday afternoon in work as the project I've been working on in work keeps running over deadlines. It really should have been finished this last week but it wasn't. So I resigned myself to working over the weekend.
But I had a gig on Friday night with my band - Giant Root Attack. It wasn't the best gig we've played but we played a good 15-song set of which 3 songs we were playing for the first time.
And I finally got my girlfriends cousin (John) and his girlfriend (Heather) to come watch us for the first time. I've really wanted them to come see me play with GRA. They've seen me play before with another band and it wasnt really their thing but I knew (well hoped) they would like GRA and I was made up that they finally came.
Although I bet the pair of them are sick of seeing us as we hung out with them ever night this weekend. Although that's probably what made it so great. I've known john for years (we went to school together and I've been seein his cousin for best part of 10 years now!) and he's been going out with Heather for a few years too. But I feel I got to know more about Heather this weekend than ever before and it was great. She's such a laugh and so easy to get on with. Really looking forward to spending some more time with them soon.
But then I had to be in work again today - boo! And back to the grind stone tomorrow. No rest for the wicked. Although its pay day on Wednesday so ever cloud has a silver lining!
Anyway ... enough rambling. Better get to bed or I wont get up for work at all
