So.. I live in an old apartment building. Built in 1927, so it has a few quirks, especially with the electricity. I came home from work yesterday to find A) The power was out B) A fan blade was broken and on the floor C) Dust like from the top of the fan blade was splattered against the far wall. I was kindof freaking, because the power in the rest of the building was just fine.. I thought the power company had shut me off even though my bill is only a few days late! Anyway, messed with the breakers and it came back on, apparently problem solved.
Later that night everybody and their dog comes over, Matt, Linz, Jen, Ian, Mike. We get fucking smashed drunk playing some card game which I'm convinced Linz was just making up the rules to as we went along.
Then Matt hits the switch to turn the fan on and ZAAAPP! SPARK! Power in the whole place goes out.. again. Anyway, breakers back on, everything cool. NOBODY TOUCH THE FUCKING FAN. So, I guess there's a short in the fan, and it exploded! I'm just totally lost for how an electrical short caused the fan blade to fly off.
Just got back from putting Linz on a plane. Destination: SGHQ! See, you think I'm joking but that's actually the new Southwest route. Oklahoma City non-stop to SGHQ. Plane full of sexy punk-rockers.
Now that's a mental image I'm gonna hold on to for a while.
She'll only be gone for a week but I'm gonna miss that girl. I'm a little worried because she has very little money with her, but she'll be alright, I've got faith in her. Just hope she remembers to save it for the taxi and not buy another 5$ slice of pizza.
