All my friends who are asking me not to get back with Rebecca, I understand your concern. I appreciate that you're looking out for me, really. However, her and I talked for a long time last night, and she's looked me in the eye and swore that she was telling the truth -- and my gut doesn't tell me otherwise. I care about her, and I've got to give her the benefit of the doubt at least this once. I may get hurt, but I can't turn my back on somebody who's asking me not to without being perfectly certain.
She's given me her word, and I have to take it this time.

So, please, I know you don't want to see me hurt, but understand that the qualities that make me your good friend are the same that are influencing this decision.
