I must admit, now that the prospect of uninterrupted sleep looms large, the puppy seems better. Maybe I was just cranky.

Here's how yesterday went.

[Me comes home at 7:30AM]
Me: "Hey honey, Doris's neighbor is giving away a bassett hound puppy."
Her: "Oh really?"
Me: "Yeah, you should call her."
Her: "Okay."
[me goes to sleep]
...time passes..
[Noon. Rebecca wakes me up.]
Her: "Can we go see the puppy?"
Me: [Flaming rays of death imminate from eyes.] "...grumble grumble.. rawr..."
...time passes...
[12:30PM. In the car on the way to see the dog.]
...time passes...
[2:45PM. I drop Rebecca off at work and am now alone with the dog. Having had four hours of sleep after working the graveyard shift. The new puppy, so excited, doesn't let me sleep.]
...time passes...
[10:00PM. I go to work, dead tired, cranky, in a bad mood. Rawr.]

..but now I have two days off and I hear he actually took to the crate just fine last night, so things are looking better.

And he has pooped, eaten, and not thrown anything up. lol
