Her: I've been craving [platinum] all day.

Me: [Thinks of how much money we have left for the next two weeks] ...erm... That's kind of expensive. How about [silver]?

Her: ... uh... I just won't get anything then. I'm not that hungry. I probably shouldn't eat anyway. I'm fat. etc etc...

Me: [Realizing I've already lost] No no no it's okay, we'll get what you want.

Her: No I'm not hungry anymore. Let's go to [copper, I.E. someplace I like].

Me: Do you want something from there?

Her: No, but I know you're hungry.

Me: [Head explodes] Look can we just get what you want from [platinum] and I'll get what I want from [copper]?

Her: [In best passive-aggressive tone] No that's too much of a hassle, I don't want to inconvenience you..
