Random rant.
I recently took photographs of a friends family. I usually don't like family or kid photos, but I guess it's just a simple thing to do and when a friend wants pictures I don't usually charge. It's just something that makes me feel like I have a project outside of my regular work to work on. So it gives me a small fix and distraction.
Anyway, I like to think that behind any good photo is a talented person behind that camera who had the "eye" and attention to see that moment and catch it. Not to mention if it needs editing, the ability to do so tastefully.
So what am I irritated at? The fact that someone commented on my friends photo's saying, "these turned out great. very nice camera."
What about the photographer?
What about the artists?!
I don't just put it on auto and let my camera do all the work. I find the right settings. I involve myself with the family and the kids paying attention to all that is going on so I can catch these "moments" that they want. I carefully watch the lighting and make sure it flatters everyone.
Anyway, I want to take photos of naked chicks again. Where are you guys? I do want to stay on this site, I think more of you beautiful women should be on this site. So lets work together. I'm in L.A.

don't take too much offense to it...unfortunately with all the damned apps and what not in technology plenty of people can fake being a "photographer" just because they can afford buying a good camera, photo editor, etc. so you can't really blame em for the comment!...and i hope you get some girls coming your way ;{)

They dont understand...dont get too upset about it. Most people think that all cameras are point and shoot, put the setting on Automatic and hope for the best. They dont get the skill and technical knowledge a true photographer poses, not to mention the artistic eye.
