What remarkable pictures of the northern lights. I didn't know they were happening here in Illinois. The one time I got to see them was up in Frankfort, Michigan, a little town about five hours north of Chicago on Lake Michigan. I was spending the week at a little cabin and had just got into the driveway, parked the car and noticed the sky all aglow and shimmering with these dancing lights. I really can't describe how stunningly disquieting the whole experience was.
