OK, so the total # of drinks I have to memorize is 140, the number of drinks on the test... 20, 5 marks per drink. 1 mark for the glass, 1 mark for the type(shake, blend, stir, or build), 1 mark for the ingredients, 1 mark for the amounts, and one mark for the garnish. Had two classes so far and omg the whole thing is totally an information overload. We go through about 30+ drinks in a class. I never was very good at straight up memorization. Comprehension...? almost always top of the class, Memorization...? lets just say I'm a little anxious
Well there's good with the bad. I get to try out all the really yummy tasting drinks when I get home. I learn the absolute must have of any bar(my at home bar is getting to a very yummy state variety XD ) Oh, if I was a martini drinker I would be in heaven right now, lmao. My sis is totally LOVING my at home practice Chocolate Martini's with chocolate rimed glass and a chocolate coated cherry... hehehe, I know I'm evil
So I just buckle down and go through the drinks we've done so far a few times each day(memorizing, not making/drinking), getting a few more down pat each time and just hope that I'll make it through the test.
Canada day was yesterday for those non Canadians out there, didn't really do much though got a bit of a buzz going at the Moxies nearby, chatting up one of my favourite bartenders there. Cute little 20 year old chick with some nice piercings and tattoos.
Oh! 19 days till I get my tat started!!! Hehehe, evey so often I'll just say out loud how long till then and of course my dad gets his obligatory eye-rolling going
Omg! Pride parade is Sunday and NO ONE has gotten back to me on what they're doing! Grrrr! Oh well, not such a bad thing to go on my own. Lol, almost wish I was bi, I could have a REALLY good time
