Society vs a Friend. Which do you choose?

Pre-situation I would have chosen quickly and easily. Given the situation I did as well, but opposite my expectations. I counseled against society in a vile a reprehensible way. I know I'll be forgiven, after all I'm protecting a friend.


Then comes one of the many times I wish I had more than three friends here who might read this and care. Two options on the table. One is interested and incredibly gorgeous, i.e. out of my league attractive. She's tempered by personality and this perverse interest in myself. The other clearly finds me radiant and well behaved, but doesn't think of me as potential, whereas I think she's one of the best people I've met in a long while. A little work in the field would probably shift her impression of me but it's hard to tell and, well, there's that other options...
