I sit alone inside my mind...

my eyes cant see the sun....

I think of times long since past

when life was much more fun...



Eternal winters cloud my head,

The darkness never ends.

Fighting demons, healing wounds,

somethings time cant mend.



I kneel before the alter

of mistakes that I have made.

I stare in quiet defiance

as the truth cuts like a blade.



Wrapped in the arms of the demons

of a past I cant forget.

My mind slips into darkness

veiled by my regrets.



As the sun comes up the mask goes on

and the light returns again...

How long until the darkness comes,

only my mind knows when...
