Well, the search for a new roommate is over. I am
relieved, scared, excited and nervous about my
upcoming living situation. But, everything will work
out, it always does.

My weekend was interesting, to say the least. Got some
painting done in the house. Our bathroom is now baby
blue and pink. It was a very dark blue before. It's
amazing how much brighter and open it is now, even
though it looked like a baby shower exploded all over
it. It's super cute, though, and we are happy. I also
painted the kitchen cabinets, but the paint is all
harsh and coarse. Does anyone know what I can put on
it to make it smooth?

I went to a party on Friday night that was in my
building. Since I didn't have to travel far to get
home, I got adequately drunk. Unfortunately, my new
diet was not pleased, and I thought I was going to die
the next day. I couldn't even hold down water until
about 2pm. I got better, though, and went to a party
Saturday night as well. I am a trooper!

Through my own stupidity and ignorance I came to a
harsh realization that I wasn't fully prepared to
make. Still wondering what I did wrong, and if there is
anything I can do to fix it, or if I should even
bother. Now it seems I am more bothered than I
initially thought, and wanting more. Doing the wrong
things at the wrong time with the wrong people leave
me wanting the right.

starsjuggler:
it mostly depends on the paint, and the surface. there are several techniques but I am not sure wich applies to your cabinets. you could give another layer (duh), or another layer with diluted paint, or sandpaper (the fine type) the surface and paint another layer, or ask the painting shop for a transparent paint to apply over , those are used to finishing a furniture.
