look. i'm not about to blast any religion on here, but what the fuck is up with mormons? and hari-krishnas? and something called 'the school of metaphysics'?
representitives from three different religious sects have approached me in the last two days with liturature on the street (well, the mormon guy who woke me up at 9 this morning gave me a DVD).
the morman guys look at me like i'm a witch doctor when i tell him i'm catholic (and to illustrate my point i pointed to the shrine on my wall, visable from the doorway)...and he made a hasty exit.
the hari-krishna girl was actually pretty cool. not pushy or anything. i told her i already gots me some religion and she didnt force the issue, just gave me her cell # and a pamphlet (cellphones? hari-krishnas? i wondered the same thing. theyre not forbidden to have them i guess, it just struck me as odd. then i wondered what her ringtone is) and told me to have a 'kind day'.
then, last night this guy comes up to me and gives me a pamphlete from the "School of Metaphysics". i think he made it up the night before. it's one thing to get approached by an established religion, almost flattering, but a made up one? gah!
