My boss beat someone up this week. The walls were shaking, the desk is broken, and the mirror was flapping against the outer wall, and I can only imagine he was pounding the man's head into it. N rushed in and tried to stop them, calm them down, which I was happy for since I wasnt going near the fiasco. For one the space is too small and I'd get creamed. For another, I dont give a shit if the man in question got beaten to a pulp, he fuckin deserves it. The man borrowed $8000 from my boss he never returned, and also has promised him wheels for fourteen months from some of that money and my boss has seen none of it. It was coming to this for a while.

The best part is I once again got to see the word "insane" in action. For over a year this schmuck has danced a clever con that has kept my boss in check and powerless to do anything but follow along in hopes of getting back some of what he's owed, and has always managed to stay one step out of his reach. My boss isnt dumb, he knows its probably gone for good, but e considered this man a friend at first, and later only followed in that vain hope. And after a solid 14 months of provocation, he snaps and finally hits the man. Thats 14 months he took it, not a small period of time. And what does this man say about my boss?

"You're insane."

Insanity as a weapon, go figure. Its not his fault, he didnt provoke my boss, didnt steal and con him out of his hard earned cash or use a friend as a patsy, oh no. My boss is insane, and thats the only reason he hit this man, according to him. None of the blame lies on him, he didnt bring it on himself. Oh no, not at all.

In among my emotional exhaustion is just a sheer tiredness at hearing this from people so often. I'm going to try and be better about using that accusation myself in the future. How dare we dismiss every emotional outburst that makes us uncomfortable, from love to violence and beyond, as insane?

Wow ! That's climactic enough to be sure. It's too bad it had to come to that , but people don't get what they deserve enough. I beat the snot out of someone who owed me a good bit of money once. He was a "friend" as well. Slick, manipulative, unappreciative, all that. Thanks for being a piece of crap. Money can be a terrible thing. Besides everyone is crazy in their own way. It's all a matter of perspective.
