I bought a car today!
This lady I know, (a special ed teacher at my old high school/the nicest person ever) just got a new van, and I got talking to her about her old car. At first she didnt want to sell it to me because of the labour costs of getting it fixed, but that was before she found out my dad is a mechanic. So I took it home tonight, and my dad thinks it will only be around $200 to fix the -two- minor things that need to be done!
Shes only charging me $300 for it, and it has a BRAND new muffler, tires, brakes and battery. It's a 1990 Toyota Camry, and the going price for them according to autotrader.ca is around $2,000. What a deal! Here are pictures of my new baby:
Don't make fun! I know it isn't much, but its all my broke ass car afford, and I think its a pretty nice lookin' car myself.
...I think I will name her Cotton.
Oh yeah, I start my new job tommrow. I'm nervous.
...I also dyed my hair back to brown today. It was sad to see the red go, but its kind of nice to be back to my natural color.

and my lovely camry (xle actually, it's the fancy version, heehee) is burgandy, wiith a small spoiler on it. it looks like it's only a couple years old, and still drives like it's new, even though it has about 250,000 miles on it. hooray for good long lasting cars!
