today whilst bored at work, taught myself how to insult people in Japanese-
Fellow employee: 'how is the japanese going kate?'
me: 'Dare-ni mukatte itten dayo...? Baka!'*
fellow employee: 'wow!'
haha
and with my parents-
me: 'Naboken-ja neyo! damatte-yo!'**
mum: 'that sounds good.'
i ♥ my new book!
*= who do you think youre talking to? Stupid!
**= get your head out of your arse! shut up!
i have been spraypainting in this room and my head feels a bit funny.
gonna go outside a bit.

Try this one for size on your work collegue:
Name-TON-noka kola
bear in mind that the "l" is is pronounced almost like a cross between an "r" and a "d"
Also inflection is of paramount importance. The hyphens are there to accentuate pitch. It should go up; peaking at the "ton" then dropping down again. A bit like Roger Moore.
Thanks for the birthday greeting
