i spent today watching films and baking with my mum at my parents house...feels weird that im doing things like that when im 24, and out of home, but when i was younger i didnt even wanna be in the same room as her.

i baked a classic sponge cake:
and almost perfected my shortbread recipe (it must be the Scot in my blood!)
unfortunately, I have still to perfect my getting-it-out-of-the-dish-without-breaking-it technique.
baking is keeping me happy right now...i like feeding people tasty things that make them smile, plus it makes my house smell nice.
i also have black hair again.
