Living in Japan is strange in so many ways.

Today during Sports Day, I saw a plethora of games being played that would never, ever fly in the states. Why? Too dangerous.

Imagine this: A team of 20 or so high school students surround a ten foot log. Atop the log, which is held upright by some number of team members, is a flag. The object of the game is to get the other teams flag before they get yours. Simple, right?

Well, it is.

However, things tend to get a little complicated when the log, ladden with the weight of five or six crazed students of the opposing team, and carrying the momentum of said students who have rushed and jumped upon the log, comes crashing down upon the head of a defending student.

I now know what it looks like for someone to go "out like a light."

He might have lost alot of blood, but he gained 23 staples. Silver lining, and all.

Japan is tiny compared to America, but still a fairly large place. It really does depend on where you live.
If you keep your place clean, however, insects and arachnids shouldn't be a problem.
Where will you be located?
