I’m actually really afraid of clowns. Something about the exaggerated features and coming face to face with something that’s supposed to be human, but isn’t quite, has always bothered me. I find it extremely unnerving. I decided to not just confront my fears, but actually become them, by doing a scary clown Halloween look for the first time about 7 years ago. Did I get over my fear? No. Did I enjoy the experience? Yes.

I’ve also always enjoyed the juxtaposition of sexy and scary - something that entices you but makes you want to run away at the same time.
