Random Childhood memories:
My mother making me tea and setting up a bed for me in the parlour of our old house when I was about five and had a sore throat. She wasn't really the mothering type, and it felt kind of akward having her fuss over me.
Making bread with my dad. We used to go for walks while the dough was rising and punch the shit out of it when we got back.
Playing with my sister, pretending we were charicters out of the Redwall series of kid's novels. I was always the frikken Badger. Or a rat. Depending on my mood.
My brother lighting my hair on fire and the smell not leaving the kitchen for weeks.
Bringing the Guinae Pig outside to play with, and momentarily forgetting about it for about 30 seconds. It's name was Sparkle Fred, if you must know. I started to cry and search the yard when I couldn't find it. My mom picked it up and brought it inside when my back was turned, and I spent two hours searching for the damn spinach eating thing, crying and wailing before I found it inside in its cage.
Ah, dissolutionment...
