My 21 year old sisters fiance just got back from Afghanistan this week. While he was away someone went all road rage on her and smashed into her car 3x to try and run her off the road. She cant work now because her back is all jacked up and the bitch who did it found a loop hole in the system so she wouldnt have to pay for a few years. Disability wont pay her on long term because the doctor said "she could get better at anytime". They've had a rough year and I wanted to get her some cool art for xmas to hang in her apart but I'm budgeted cause I'm a stay at home mom. So I messaged an old friend/ artist if he had anything small for about $30 and told him it was for my sis and her fiance who just got back from the war. Being that he's recent veteran himself, I thought he'd at least be reasonable, but the message I got back was...
"$30.00 ? that's less than my supplies would cost...maybe for $100"
Wow! What a cocky douche he turned out to be. I sell my art too and I understand the supplies, time and effort that go into pieces, but I'm always willing to work with someone on price and size. He could've at least had a little more tact in his reply.

I'm sorry about what happened to your sister. People need to learn to control themselves, it's like people forget themselves when they get behind the wheel of a vehicle. I don't know if you've ever heard of a website called Society6.com, but they have some great artwork for less than 30 dollars. I, myself, have been purchasing the minimalist Marvel character pieces by Marko Manev whenever I have some extra money. I like the simple style, but they have all kinds of other stuff on there too. People are just rude assholes sometimes without thinking about it.
