Well, I've definately been the radio bitch this weekend. Everyone in our station has been sick, so it's been all-purpose utility guy to the rescue. I'm the on-call guy for our radio station, Mixx96.1 (check out mixx96.com), which entails me coming in at any time for anyone that needs something done. Well, let's just say this weekend our listeners have heard a lot of me. These are the times when I've been on just to give an example.

Thurs - 10am-3pm, 7pm-midnight
Friday - midnight-5:30am
Sat - midnight-6am, 3pm-7pm
Sun - midnight-6am, 10am-3pm, 7pm-midnight
Mon - midnight-5:30am

That's crazy man. a couple of the shows are pre-recorded, so at least I'm not stuck inside the studio the entire time. And it's good that I'm getting hours, because I really need them since I'm a broke bastard. Hopefully in the next two months I'll be the full-time Traffic broadcaster (which is the highest paid position, since he's our main draw for listeners). The current "Freeway Hero" has been doing it for 10 years and he's told me that he wants to move on and pass it down to me. This is good, this is very good. Not only is it good pay with 35-40 hours a week, it's also a split shift so I'll be home every day with my daughter between 9am-3pm, and every night after 7pm, and weekends off.

Yes..... I am at the station right now.....it's exciting, really. I'd much rather do the freeway stuff because I'm out driving the entire time and I can do pretty mch whatever I want. The end of July is when I'll know what's going on with that whole shindig.
