Well I got my first installment of the BBC miniseries Chronicles of Narnia from NetFlix yesterday. The copyright is 1988 and the special effects are down right cheesy and seriously old school even but it was a made for TV movie and a huge undertaking. The conversion of the book to a screenplay is very good. The kids acting could use some work as well but, lets face it child actors seldom measure up to Kirsten Dunst in Interview with a Vampire or Elijah Wood in The Good Son. Over all, the acting by Lucy is very effective.
My children both really enjoyed the movie. And the oldest is still asking questions about it this AM. I am overjoyed that The Chronicles of Narnia is being made into in a big screen movie. The Lion The Wtich and The Wardrobe is due to be released Dec 9, 2005 and WETA is doing the Sepcial Effects. Going to the Website you can get a seek peek of the armor and non humans!!!!!! Im just gitty waiting. And got chills watching the online clips for Behind the Magic of Narnia.

Im sad that they arent starting with The Magicians Nephew. That is book one in the Chronicles and it is my favorite. I think it would be hard to conceptualize on screen though. But who knows maybe it will get made. I think Lewis Wrote that book next to last in the Chronicles.
Yesterday was a beautiful day here in NoVa and it looks like today will be as well. Looking forward to gimping my way around outside some. Yeah it is a gimpy kinda day but Ive got some cool ideas to make canes all awesome and cool. Maybe Ill become a Punk Cane Designer. Now all I need is an endless supply of canes to play with. Preferably, Derby style.
