I am a basket of nerves today.
But this AM when I walked my son to school the traffic was fucking insane and people were parking on our street and having to hoof it to the polling place, i.e. the school.
I am a good voter. I'd only missed 2 minor elections since I registered and one primary. Anyway I've NEVER seen anything like this. It is history IMHO.
The other nice thing is we live in a primarily minority area. And not a single Republican representative was at the polling place trying to drum up support. While there were probably at least 10 Liberals Drumming Up support outside with the lines.
Mind you I live in North Carolina so NC swinging for Kerry would be little short of a Miracle even with Edwards (our senator) as his running mate, but Hey it was nice to be surrounded by like minded people.
Much love and I hope my anxiety reduces some soon or I'll be sedating myself soon. Maybe After I get out to Rock the Vote myself.
PS everyone go and buy some Champagne to celebrate with tonight, Keep your thoughts positive.
