I looked up one of my best friends from 20 years ago. We had a huge falling out over a woman, but hey that's life. I was quite surprised how much he has changed. When I knew him he was an agnostic anarchist with long hair, oh yeah......we used to deal drugs too (we would deal in pounds of pot)......we did some crazy shit!
I always hope he would turn over a new leaf.......but now he is a Deacon in the Masons!!! There was a picture.......so no doubt it is him. He has short hair (not quite as short when we were in the army together) and looks so different. I know he married the girl we had our fight over......wonder if they are still together??? She liked him better because he was a bit more radical than me..........I wasn't always a nice guy!!! Funny thing about time.........metamorphosis!!!

I did some really good riding today. My father wasn't feeling so great......so I went alone. I rode 2 bikes; 1 for 3 hours and the other for about 2. I just did it solo....me....my machine(s)....the wind......the road......and roadkill!!! I have to tell you that there is nothing quite like it........I can't really compare it to sex......it lasts a lot longer and there is no big "BANG" at the end!!!

I will be back at the salt mine tomorrow! I hope this week things just fall into place, and then on Saturday I can celebrate my 39th birthday. Yes this will be my first 39th Birthday!!! My co-driver is still broke (at least for another week or so) until he gets his first paycheck. Maybe he will stay chilled out in the long run?
