What inspired me to start my SG journey❤️ Ft. @coolicio
Even from my scene days and love of Zui Suicide, side fringes, BMTH, clip in zebra striped extension pieces and heavy eyeliner I had always been obsessed with Suicide Girls. It’s crazy this experience is even happening as I remember having SG posters on my wall as a teenager!
I had always had a hidden desire to be a model, even as a child.
I never told anyone, as I was quite introverted and self conscious.. but from the age of 4 I was a competitive ballet dancer for 13 years, and that gave me quite a bit of confidence by the time I hit puberty (and some dance skills)😜
My family is very conservative and religious and I was always the black sheep.
Growing up in a small town on a farm and being a little more alternative I started getting tattoos and piercings at a young age, dating girls, and basically everything against my parents wishes!
It wasn’t to rebel, I was never a bad kid. I was just never supposed to a unicorn in such small place✨💞
I Moved to Adelaide at 17 on my own and had started makeup and photography, struggling and trying to survive like anyone else in a new big city with no family and no support.
By this age I was admiring SGs like @fishball and @vorpal, as she is also from Adelaide and was currently in the process of being a hopeful.
I remember thinking man I wish I had the confidence to do that!
When I was 21 and having a dance background I started stripping, but ended up doing so well I began performance shows on weekends as well as club work.
I’ve now travelled the world stripping in bars all across Australia, New Zealand, Europe, the UK and Wales!
I was randomly inboxed by @coolicio one day on my Instagram work profile to shoot for suicide girls.. and at first I thought it was a joke!
Me? A Suicide Girl??
I had a look and her profile to make sure she wasn’t a fake (true story) and realised that she really was an SG and
I really could have an opportunity here!
Not only could I model, be alternative, but I could also exist in a community where woman bring each other UP for sex work, NOT judge or bring them down.
And I’m sure in one way or another, we have all copped a lot of that from both friends and family.
I said yes and flew to Melbourne as soon as I could to shoot my first debut GOOD FOR YOU and as you could see, I’ve come a long way😇
It was the first time I had ever posed completely nude but she was so lovely and all of the girls were so amazing.
Since then I’ve shot another with her currently in MR SERPENTINE and then I have another dropping with @atlanticlungs in just over a month which is so exciting!!
I can just feel my confidence growing✨
I have found a world where instead of being judged on a bikini picture, I’m commenting on nudes saying
“YASS GURL LOVE THOSE TIITTIES”😜
It was @coolicio that gave me the opportunity I never knew was possible, but Suicide Girls in general inspired me to start loving my individuality, embracing my weirdness and start my modelling career!
Since shooting my first debut 8 months ago I’ve come so far!
I’ve ended up shooting for world brands, labels, collabs and even getting a four page spread published as Kandice Black aka KandyB in XPRESSIONS Magazine!
