This is my first time posting in my SG Journal. It is not my intent to keep you here very long, so let's cut to the chase, shall we? I am an 18 year old from the Chicago area and my one true passion is writing. Odds are I will be sharing different things I've written in this here journal. It might not be a bad idea to start out with that notion. Here is a poem I wrote recently entitled "Nosferatu."
Nosferatu
My love I am afraid Ive,
Siphoned whats left of your empathy,
Drained all but the last drop of sympathy,
And nourished myself with your pity,
For the selfish cause of reanimation.
Perhaps I should not fret,
Because what else are friends for,
My pleas, by which, you could not ignore,
The ones Im afraid youve come to abhor,
Jaded so I could live through you.
But then, a more grevious sin,
The friendship Ive come to idealize,
In your eyes, is not quite realized,
The same one youve come to satirize,
The one I fear youll call vampiric.
