ok so I've done pretty much fuck all of late, I've been working too much overtime this past two weeks an' that's boreing chat.
Last weekend I did howwever go up to Raasay for the weekend. It was a rather fun roadtrip.
T'was the only good thing that came out of the dissapointment of Corrosion of Conformity not being able to come over for their gig on Fri 30th Oct.
first thing in the morning of said friday I was dragged out of bed by a rediculously awake and fresh looking flatmate Matthew to go pick up Alex for an aprox 5hr drive to Raasay.
The pillow I was sleeping on was taken with me to the car!.
Crawfords Chicken & Ham pastie for breakfast was bliss and a journey of getting to know Alex and pretty countryside was had as far as Malaig. This is where, had there not been force 5 winds, we would have got our ferry to Skye.
Back to Fort William it was to re-route to the Skye bridge, not a problem you would think, if there was no time limit to get to the next ferry to Raasay.
Only 45 mins, a collapsed road, rain and a broken windscreen wiper stood in our way. we failed
This ment we also missed the party in Raasay we were going to
So we found a bunkhouse to kip in and paid for sme ridiculously overpriced dinner. Retiring to the bunkhouse with a litre bottle of dark rum, we found it to be an incredible and nonsensical night. A massive coal fire, big comfy red sofas and the rain battering on the windows made me so cozy.
The drink was flowing when a walking party from a Glasgow uni came rather reluctantly to join us in the cozy room they appeared to have set up (blazing fire)
A bit merry, wee invited good banter to be had as well as a drink, but after 5-8mins the unwilling party (thankfully) fucked off! Oh well, their loss. To bed, a few hours and drinks later we went. It was like school camp
I got the top bunk nearest the window
