Ok, so it's 2am and I've now had a nice hectic day at work and then a tutoring session for someone to try to teach them Calculus and Probability.
Onward...to the update!
The campout was a blast and I met a lot of cool, new people as well as saw some people I already knew like Laerkai and CinderOla. silicon, Iggy, silicon's sister, and myself all ventured out on Thursday with a truck full of crap as you can see us bungee cording it all down here
We got settled in and I met some awesome people just hanging around the campsite and talking, I met a whole bunch of people and was definately glad I went.
We had one "non-event" which was the hiking...nobody wanted to go because it was too hot, so only silicon, his sister "Guest Amanda," and I went. After that we stopped at a dollar store and bought a ton of water guns for fun during the rafting trip. They were certainly a big hit and added some extra entertainment on the trip...which started like this:
The rafting trip was a fucking blast, our raft came in dea d last but anyone can tell you that ours was clearly the best one, since we had the cooler with most of the booze, provided everyone we saw on the river with booze, and had everyone on the boat in the water at least once. Of course being led by such a great boat captain like Irina helped as well.
Beyond all the little trips it was also just a lot of fun sitting around and eating, cooking, talking, staying up late, watching spin the bottle, or hanging around and swimming to try to beat the terrible humidity and heat. I got to chat with and meet a bunch of cool people like Lexie thanks to offering up some delicious shrimp that I grilled up, and Seantastic when we got drunk Saturday night and I got him and Irina to laugh while I acted like a complete drunk and told the "ociffer" that I was not drunken too much.
Lexie and Zui definately cracked me up when they showed me their amazing shadow puppet skills and how Lexie's shadow could do Zui's in the butt.
There's tons more pics in my pics folder if you want to look through and I had a great time, hope to enjoy the events in the future just as much (and meet people even half as cool as the camping trip bunch)
