I am feeling very ummm what is the word I am looking for...disgusted, fed-up, pissed-off, etc. with the leadership in this country (last night's vp debate did not help me to feel any better about the situation).

Today in class we got in a discussion about prescription drugs, medicare, etc. This asswipe in class said something about "you can't fault the drug companies for the money they charge for drugs. This is a capatilist society, they deserve to make money - just like all the rest of us do." Let me tell you why I got so mad.....

Yesterday at my work an 84 year old man came in to fill out an application. I work for a construction company which demands of all our workers heavy physical labor, heavy lifting, strenuous, year-round outdoor work. I felt so bad for this man because he said that he really needs the job to help pay for medicine because his pension doesn't cover his medical expenses. Eighty-fucking-five and this poor man has to go back to work. Something is terribly wrong with this situation.

So to the asshole in class (whom believe me I said all this to) FUCK OFF - No reason our country has turned into such a disparity. No one gives a shit about anyone else. As long as you can line your pockets - human life and the human soul are not important anymore.
