I was in a Panic. Something life-changing had just occurred the day before. I went to bed, woke up, and realized I was not living for myself and hadn’t been for many years. I immediately called my best friend whom you know in the community as Seitan. I told her what changes I wanted to make and she was there for me 100% of the way.
You see, I have always wanted to be a part of this community since I was a teen. It was never acceptable. Therefore, never attainable in my eyes. I woke up and realized who I was. I decided all in one day to reintroduce myself as someone that was now Bi-Sexual and join the Alt community that I have followed since they came out when I was a mere freshman in High School. My best friend was well receptive to all of this being that she’s a part of this community already. Within 24 hours I had signed up for SG, joined a Shootfest she was hosting, and started packing for an unforgettable trip.
We were off to Arizona but stopped at Joshua Tree for fun and decompressing.
We enjoyed hanging out and making memories and then we were off to our final destination in Phoenix, AZ. Without this amazing woman, I might have never allotted myself the opportunity to follow the dreams I’ve had since I was very young. With this I say, keep those who are ride or die for you close. Leave no room for negative energies. Once you remember your worth? Never let it go. For anyone or anything, you’re a badass that won’t tolerate someone telling you otherwise. Finally, it’s never too late in life to go and pursue what you want.
Go after it. The “life is too short” quote is often heard but hardly ever absorbed. Please keep that in mind.
Huge thanks to my best friend Seitan for letting me know that it is never too late.
The biggest shoutout to myself for realizing I’m a badass and forgetting that. I will never let that happen again, Many friends have asked why I’ve been glowing lately. Honestly? It’s simply remembering who I am.
