So, I'm having that moment that happens when you've been pushing, and grinding, and driving yourself harder than you have for a long time, doing one thing over and over until you finally do it right.
And that moment is:
"Hello, little muscle, buried between the biceps and the Triceps, where the fuck did you come from?"
I like manifestation. Now to manifest a midnight...

I play with fire.
I have realized one of the reasons why.
I play with fire, simply put,
Because I try to touch the sun. It's part of my nature.
But every time I try to touch the sun,
I do the Icarus dance.
Downward into the sea.
I play with fire because I need to touch the sun,
But only a small one, so...

The fundamental nature of desire is, in a way, terrible.
Accepting and pursuing your desires is like pushing your face into the fire; the very act of acknowledging that you desire is an acceptance of an absence.
You want what you do not have.
This irony is compounded if you dont even really know what you want;
Pursuit?
Consumation?
Romance?
Beauty?
Or just to feel...

The key is to transmute desire into a tool to aid you on your journey. To be able to feel it and recognize it, enjoy the fruits of your desires when they manifest themselves and then detach and move on when they are gone. The ephemeral nature of things makes attachment to your desires a dangerous game, but renouncing desire is like stamping out the flame that could potentially lead to liberation because you are afraid of getting burnt. Like the Tantric adept who transmutes poison into a means of transcendence, desire too can be used in the same way, but it is like dancing on a razors edge. Non attachment and withdrawal of the senses are primary keys to success.
It is often said that of the seven chakras, three of them can easily be bound in knots, Svadhisthana, the second chakra, when allowed to dominate, can lead to a obsession and attachment to sexual desire. Anahata, the heart chakra, when bound in a knot can be lead to an overwhelming sense of self love preventing ascension into higher realms of consciousness. Ajna, the third eye, when bound in a knot, can lead to an attachment to the intellect, which is ultimately a function of the ego and not to be mistaken for the higher self. (It is hilarious how a lot of intellectual thinkers get offended by remarks like this because they can not fathom anything being higher than their own subjective intellect.)
Considering that we exist in what is commonly known as the desire realm and when you add to that, the fact that we are living in the twilight of the degenerative age, The Kali Yuga, it is essential that man learns to transmute his inner demons and poisons into his vehicle for enlightenment. As a famous old hoot once said, The rituals of old are black. The way to liberation of the old Aeons has passed by. Doctrines that teach asceticism and austerities as the only way are outdated and can only work for a select few.
You say that nothing burns forever, eventually it goes out... This is true, but everything also runs in cycles. The end of a world may be near, but there is no end all, be all apart from non duality. The question we all must ask our selves is simple. Do we want to go with the natural flow of cyclic existence into the void of non duality, or do we dare go against the grain to a stronger sense of self? Do we want a clean karmic slate which can only be obtained by the destruction of the empirical ego, or are our karmic propensities just too strong?
Thank you for posting this. I like it when people post things that make me think.

Sometimes, the tragic thing is having to step back from the grand gesture, to turn the volume down. Icarus might not have been destroyed if he had only looked down...
But it often makes me wonder: what would life be like without the boundaries of fear, and doubt? What would life be like if none of us feared, in our heart-of-hearts, that we were Icarus...

Seduction and surprises are your friends.
Aside from the obvious reasons, I wonder why I like threesomes so much. I think it's because a lot of the pressure is gone; I'm a natural performer, and sometimes it's beautiful watching two people focused on each other, leaving you a moment to breathe, and savor.
I like the feeling of not being there as anything other...

I almost never listen to music. Since my laptop was butchered while being repaired, I haven't really listened to music at all. I won't be able to spend any money until after Burning Man, due to absurd ticket prices, a high level of alchohol dependency while out in the dust, and those pesky romance bombs that need to be handled between now and then....

I had a great talk with an old friend about love, and lust, and respect last night over Ethiopian food.
We talked about her most recent, and how she had to let him go, despite her feelings for him, and how it's feels to hunt.
We talked about how I don't know whether I want to be single again or not.
And in the middle...

She.
She is fierce
She asks questions.
She wears little half-gloves
She has good tattoos
She bites, sweats, and screams during sex
She has a Texan accent
Her eyes are huge, so brown they are almost black
She loves Yeats and hates Nietszche
Shes got a kung-fu star as a bodyguard.
She is small and pale
She reads.
She drag-races cholos at stoplights.
She laughs...
