Although it should be no surprise to anyone, I'm happier right now, at two AM, watching an incredibly romantic movie alone and drinking cider, than I have been at any dance club or party i've been to in a long time.

And I still believe that love stories can, and will, happen. Love stories, not these tawdry plays of fear and fumbling.

I believe that...

I just realized, while smoking and drinking cider, alone in the dark, looking out my window and listening to New Model Army, that I'm dying for something beautiful to happen.

I know that somewhere it is. This is a huge world, filled with billions of human lives, seething, blooming and unfolding like a field of flowers in the sun. I know that life is racing...

I'd have to look through the book for the actual quote but I am reading a book on Geisha, by Liza Dalby and she was describing what is expected in a geisha that makes her most attracctive and part of it was being innocent but not naive...I think that's the thing that most people have a problem with in life.
I tend to be cynical because I think it's kinda funny. Or it's where a lot of humor can sprout from. But then I guess it's not completely cynical then, is it?

It always begins so suddenly. Except for the times when it doesn't.

A fingertip traces along the curve of a stranger's throat. A lover's hand holding yours, leading you into warm, breathing silence and the soft, and velvet darkness of a room you've never entered. Eyes that have met half a hundred times can lock in one portentous moment and you fall, drowning in the...

Funny is the only reason for living sometimes. But it's a damn good reason.

I don't know what's going to play at my wedding, but god-damn if Tool's Salival isn't going to be the soundtrack to the honeymoon*.

This message has been brought to you by my abrupt desire to have sex** to track six, a song going by the name Makaba, as well as the fourteen-minute long version of Third Eye.

I suggest anyone with a...

Hmm.

Perfect date.

Tsebhi Zegni, injeera and beer at New Eritrea on Irving Street.

Riding Dawn through Golden Gate Park on the way to the Noc Noc (Imagine if Tim Burton had free reign on the interior design of a beer and wine bar that played Massive Attack and Amon Tobin.) Cider and smoking and deep grooves.

Picking up cloves and .22's of cider at...

Heh. I realized that it's not that I'm a bad drunk, it's that I hate everyone in San Francisco.

'cept my wingmen.

My posse and I got truly, sweetly sideways last night, and it was...So...Much...Fun...

And I kissed a girl. wink

I'm tasting one of my favorite emotions again.

That sensation of desire decanted after a long season of aging. It's strange how the mention of a city's name, can draw out memories of a certain girl's smile, her laughter, and her skin.

I remember Oceanside.

A name that summons up memories of bonfires, and drinking cervezas on golden sand, salt and tequila on velvet-soft lips,...

I wrote Another Story.

This one is about a girl and a boy, on a beach.

My way.

It's funny how when you write and I read it, I just hear the whole thing in your voice, acting out all the parts.

For some reason, I'm thinking of magnets.

Turn them one way, and one is pudhed away feon the other.

Tun one, and the problem is resolved, the mahnets attract.

I'm thinking of magnets.

And of giving certain girls* head.

Shallow and deep. Deep and shallow.

That's me.
(For the sake of avoidance of drama, let it be known that this does not involve sisters or...
