I never read the books, but I have seen the movies (including the old one!) The new movies by Denis Villeneuve are really beautifully shot cinematic masterpieces. The costume design, sets, locations, sound design, and sound track are incredibly powerful. I find myself re-watching them and gathering screen grabs to reference later on for photoshoots or videos. It helps that I absolutely love the desert, so I find myself finding beauty in the lifelessness. I even got the art book! If you haven't seen the new movies, I highly recommend them, I hope you find them as intriguing and fascinating as I do! PS I 3D printed and painted that crysknife! :D
