as far as the nipples go - i did both of mine about 10 years ago - it's really not that painful to get done. for me, definitely increased sensitivity and if you have a partner that likes to play they are fun. i did retire mine but more because i was bored with them...

I saw a documentary about Bob Dylan yesterday night and reporters were asking him silly questions from the very start about his art that he could not answer because to him it was just performing his music without any labels, trneds or political messages attached.
I look at art in three categories:
Some artist are mostly skilled craftsmen.
Some are mostly working with talent.
A few merge skill and talent!
You can always get better. Once you stop getting better, you will pay for lack of fervor by losing skill and/or talent.
Take up the challenge but do not simply attach all the importance to the tools...
