The other day I got asked if I collect anything.
My only response could be, I did... I collected a lot... before the fire.
It's not on the front of my mind, unconsciously i know though. I know that a year ago my parents house burnt down and I lost my cats and everything I owned but the two bags of stuff I moved here with. I know that a year ago my grandfather passed, and that I lost my uncle bunny. and even though its not on the front of my mind, even as I keep myself busy with events I feel so far away.

I've spent a lot of time with Lauren this year, and it's taught me how far from easy it is to be far from home. And that's coming from me, as someone who isn't always so close to their family.
I hope that you get to see your family in the not-to-distant future. I hope that you can find something over here to start collecting. xx
