Well, today/ a few days ago I learned that I need to get 16 hours of in class training to get my electrical license renewed. Now, it pisses me off because I didn't learn about this until I was renewing the license. The other issue I have about this is the fact that I have to find these classes. Now it's a pain in the ass to do this without joining the union, and I don't really want to >.> There's already a company in mind that I want to work for, and they called me in for an interview, but they're non union, so that blows if I join das union. Our L&I is being a pain because of the fact that it has to be in class, not online, online used to be an option but not anymore. Which sucks because all the places that I look at are either too far away in distance, or too far away in time. Either by a few weeks or a month, and I'm mad about it, so I contacted L&I and asked them if it's possible to do an online class because of the fact that in my current situation, and the fact that the classes are too far away can I do it online? So tomorrow I'm going to go to an interview about being an electrical apprentice my issue now is, seeing as how I was never told about taking damn classes, my license is considered as INACTIVE. Which sucks, cause now I have to explain it to them that I haven't been able to do my 16 hours of class time BECAUSE I never knew about it. So they should REALLY keep me in mind and I should get half way there by the end of the week. So all I can do is pray that I can get my classes accomplished...please, oh please let me get it accomplished, I really want this job.
In other news I can't get unemployment because of the fact that I quit one job and the other I was supposedly 'fired' from. When in actuality I was laid off due to lack of work. But that asshole of an ex boss said i was fired, most likely because his frugal ass doesn't want to help pay 180$ a week which once i think about it, would be more then I normally got....Gah....what a cheap jerk.
I gave my cats a bath and they hate me now...But I still love them!

how did you get into this without joining a union? the only way I could see to get the education and the work was through IBEW, but I didn't want to go that route.
