Odd How the Midshift makes you introspective. You start to notice things, like how much 5:00 am looks like 10:00 pm. The streets lighted only by the neon signs of opening buisness and on comming traffic. The drip and patter of water on the roof barely audible over the sound of Ghoultown on the radio. The lazy feeling of the drive home, it's all oddly similar. Maybe I'm just tired, or maybe there's a sweet feeling that only a drive home in the dark can give you. A safe meloncholy, like a slow song or an afternoon in a hammock. Who knows. It's just good to be home.

its funny you say this. i really think its a true testiment to the fact that its slight unnatural for people to live in the darkness. i know when i'm on those long night shifts, everything in my head goes nuts. i have long strings of euphoric thought at about 2 am. the drive home for me is almost always a blink. i get in the car, and i'm home. i don't know how the drive was or witch rout i took, i'm just there. freaks me out a bit, but what can you do. well, later....
