Spent my evening at work chatting with people, watching The Boondocks, listening to the Cure and every once in a while actually contributing to the effort. Tomorrow it's District 9 and Inglorious Basterds with a friend.

It's probably not a good sign when the only time you're getting sleep most days is when you're taking leftover nighttime cold and flu medicine. I just can't get there most nights. I'm sure there are better and less ridiculous remedies, but I'm lazy and use what's on hand when I finally get fed up with it.

I also like to creep people out.
I enjoy it more than I ever did.
Can't really say why..
But perhaps that doesn't matter much.

A weekend of nothing but sleeping into the evenings, being up all night and Fallout 3. I get a week of vacation around a month from now and need to figure out something more than this to do. Maybe see if my friend in Chapel Hill wouldn't mind a visitor for part of it. It's been too long since I've seen her.
Really, I...

Hey, I finally got your comments on the web comic. Thanks! And glad you like it. A new one should be up soon (this weekend would be my best guess). Tell your friends!
How're you doing? Still sick?

I was quite sad to see Les Paul's obituary coming over the wire when I walked into the newsroom this afternoon. Though his own music might now have been my cup of tea, that wonderful invention of his brings me joy and makes life a bit more bearable everyday, even if my own has been collecting dust for a while.

My family has it's share of breakage.
I can't speak to any one of them without them going on the defensive.
Not fun..not fun at all.

Walked into the office this afternoon and was told a project I'd started - and nearly completed - Saturday evening was accidentally deleted by another department earlier in the day. None too pleased. At least it was a small project and the materials were still on hand.
When I left shortly after 1 a.m. - after doing that project all over again - a hunchbacked...

random comment! just wanted to say that your current profile pic is cool. Misfits kick ass
Feeling more John Lydon than Joe Strummer at the moment. More cynical and nihilistic than anything even remotely idealistic. Part of it is work.
Maybe a lot of it is work.
Part of it is not having enough Clash in my life at the moment. I should listen to them more to help perk me up against everything that wants to beat me down. They...

Still quite weak and sick, though not as weak and sick as I was a couple days ago. I managed to drag myself into the office and holed myself away in a little corner as to not bother anyone, but by the time 10 p.m. rolled around I was crashing hard, feeling a bit dizzy and wanting to pass out.
Yet it's 3:20 and I'm...

Coughed, sneezed, threw up and slept through most of the weekend after leaving work early Friday night in absolute misery and with people telling me I looked like hell. Feeling a bit better today, but still quite weak and still coughing, though not as frequently. I really just want to go back to bed.
Sore throat. No voice. Achey joints. No appetite. Life is grand when you work in an office where people hack and cough and are sick instead of staying home, so you eventually get what they've had as well.

hello my lovely future friend..
Been out of it all day, exhausted and achey all over. The series of thunderstorms that hit didn't help much. Finally got to watch the Director's Cut of Watchmen though. I already liked the film and ranked it as one of the best comic adaptations ever, but this version's inclusion of the death of Hollis Mason pushed it even further into the stratosphere for me.
vonnegution:
I would have to concur. It's weird, though, that the director's cut is 30 minutes longer, but outside of the Hollis Mason scene and another Nixon scene, I'm hard-pressed to see what's new. I will say, the director's cut seemed to flow better, so maybe it's all in the editing as opposed to new footage?
