It seems as though a young cat - not quite a kitten, not quite fully mature - has taken up residence on my front porch. I heard about it the other day, but only caught my first glimpse of it yesterdayafternoon when I was leaving for work and it was sunning itself on the front steps. Grey fur with little white tootsies and skinny as can be. Snickerdoodle noticed it first and, surprisingly, just sat and watched it, ears perked up, through the storm door without freaking out. I guess she's mellowed with age.

One next-door-neighbor - the one who's been feeding the cat and who seemingly keeps a whole zoo in her house - says the cat belongs to my other next-door-neighbors, who agitate the shit out of me with every breath they take and, at least according to her, don't give the cat any care.. It reminds me of how I've been considering a new pet lately though. Eventually perhaps.
